Clean upgrade/downgrade path between 1.11 <-> 1.2b9?

How clean is the upgrade/downgrade path between the 1.11 an 1.2b9 releases? 
I want to upgrade to take advantage of the polling stuff with my fxp-based 
box, but don't have the time right now to rebuild the CF if downgrading is a 
major hassle (if I run into issues...)

I did a list search and didn't turn anything up.
