Doesn't sound m0n0wall related, but I'd check the link light on the
switch and the Xbox (if it has one) and try to ping the Xbox's IP from
your PC, before replugging the cable.  Sounds like the Xbox, the
Linksys, or a combination of the two flake out whenever you initially
fire up the Xbox.
