You'll probably find that it's a place for soldering more video ram, or
maybe where the on-board sound chips go.

Don't worry about the missing chips... Most motherboards would have such
spaces somewhere on them. If the machine is reliable then go ahead and use
it.

Subject: [m0n0wall] deffective Compaq Deskpro EN6350

Hello,

I have a compaq deskpro EN 6350 SFF (board no.010602-001 rev a)looking like:
http://www.m0n0.ch/wall/gallery/goran_samuelsson/my-m0n0wall.jpg
and http://www.m0n0.com/wall/gallery/marc-andre_alpers/IMAG0109.jpg

It is a PII/PIII, slot 1, BX with ati rage video chip and intel onboard net
card. My problem is that i have 2 missing chips on the mb, betwwen the
sodimm connector and the power supply. Can anybody send me a detailled
picture with that area of the mb from a similar pc?

Thank you very much,

Radu
