 Subject:  Re: [m0n0wall] Ping LAN devices over PPTP
 Date:  Wed, 24 Aug 2005 09:21:12 +0200
Hello,
thx. for yor reply, I did litlle changes following your email but im getting
same results. I just can ping LAN Intreface of m0n0 and therefore i can open
only webGui page. My LAN APs arent reachable. It looks like my pptp its not
going to my lan. I have tryed different settings for my Firewall Rules but
it didnt help.
Here are my rules:
LAN:::   *     /PPTP clients /*    / LAN net *  / PPTP to LAN
PPTP:::   *  /                *    /  *  /    *    /   *  /  PPTP to LAN

Nothing in WAN.
...any sugestion what should I try?
TIA, pet.

Here is ipconfing (from cmd.exe)

c:\praca SPIG>ipconfig /all

---- Original Message -----

Your IP address is out of scope for the PPTP connection. If your PPTP
is set to 192.168.100.96/28 that gives you addresses 192.168.100.96 -
192.168.100.111. So you can't assign your workstation 192.l68.100.151
as this IP is not on the PPTP network. Your second issue is that the
"Server Address" isn't suppose to be your WAN IP address, it is to be an
internal address. Set it to 192.168.100.254 (Assuming your normal
network range is 192.168.100.0/24) Or if you are using that try
192.168.100.90.

So the settings might look something like this:

Server Address: 192.168.100.254
Remote address range: 192.168.100.96 /28

Then tell your PC to obtain an IP Address during the PPTP connection.

That should work.
