Or boot the machine from any number of Live CD's and pull the config directly over to a floppy, USB key, etc. There is an option to disable the console menu, password protection was discussed at the same time and not implemented. Given the limited ability to do anything directly at the console, password protection is the least of your worries from someone that has physical access. -Chris |
