Posting this for Lonnie since he cant seem to email the list: From: heirbrande bethidia [mailto:heirbrande at yahoo dot com] Sent: Thursday, September 08, 2005 5:45 PM To: Seth Martin Subject: mdconfig instead of vnconfig Hi, I'm trying to use "getting started with M0n0wall development" and have a little trouble. The problem is that my system is FreeBSD 5.x and the M0n0wall version I'm using is 4.x(3?). When I tried to use m0n0image.php that Michael Iedema wrote to rebuild the image file, it says vnconfig is no longer used, try mdconfig. I've tried to make sense of mdconfig but it's over my head. Has anyone had any success with mdconfig? I think it may be pretty easy once I get the concepts down, but I'm growing weary after being up a couple of nights trying to figure out a workaround (i.e. moving everything back to the 4.3 platform--and losing funtionality). Could someone let me(us) know how to rewrite that part of the code so that mdconfig works in place of vnconfig? Or better yet, is there a recplacement script somewhere? Thanks Lonnie |
