RFE: deblank leading/trailing spaces in parsed edit fields.

I would like to suggest that all parsed fields have leading and trailing
spaces removed before parsing.  Non-parsed fields (comments) should
remain as they are.

I have a habit of copying and pasting into the fields and spaces are
always getting copied and pasted.
