Try SpinRite. It can sometimes even recover sectors that are marked bad 
but only needed a little scrubbing. Otherwise you can just partition 
around it; I've used HD's for m0n0 that had bad sectors halfway through 
the disk since m0n0 only uses the first few megabytes anyway.
