Had problems with 3com nics with sudden transfer speed drops, changed to
Intels and Broadcoms and no problems anymore

I am pretty sure that I'm not using it on my net4801 (but I'm not 100%
sure).  I am using that feature on a Dell GX280 with 3com NICs.

Of course, I wouldn't expect super throughput out of a net4801... But, I
did
like the speed I remember out of version 1.11.
