I don't recommend to open a website and use the graphics from that other site on the captive portal for 2 reasons 1) login page will seem to 'hang' when the other server is down 2) when using captive portal in SSL mode the users will get a security warning if the other server isn't also in HTTPS mode Regards, J. -- Jonathan De Graeve Network/System Administrator Imelda vzw Informatica Dienst 015/50.52.98 Jonathan dot de dot graeve at imelda dot be -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: Lee Sharp [mailto:leesharp at hal dash pc dot org] Verzonden: donderdag 6 oktober 2005 18:36 Aan: Bruno LAURET; m0n0wall at lists dot m0n0 dot ch Onderwerp: Re: [m0n0wall] How to authorize the consultation of a site before the authentification From: "Bruno LAURET" <bruno dot lauret at semita dot fr> > I use monowall for a captive portal for a wireless network and I want to > know > how to authorize the consultation of a site (just one) before the > authentification. In other systems, this is referred to as "Walled Garden." On M0n0wall, it is set by ip address only (Not domain name) under "Services: Captive portal: Allowed IP addresses." This is handy if you want your authentication page to pull graphics from another website. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: m0n0wall dash unsubscribe at lists dot m0n0 dot ch For additional commands, e-mail: m0n0wall dash help at lists dot m0n0 dot ch |
