Hi John, Sounds like your not authenticating through the portal. Did you upload your portal page html contents complete with POST to $PORTAL_ACTIONS$ as per the onscreen instructions? When you launch a browser you should see this page and the "continue" button to open up the firewall for your connection(s) through m0n0wall. john -----Original Message----- From: John Adams [mailto:jadams at comptroub dot com] Sent: Saturday, October 15, 2005 18:35 PM To: m0n0wall at lists dot m0n0 dot ch Subject: [m0n0wall] Portal Question I'm VERY new to M0n0wall, but so far I love it. The question I have is probably a dumb one, but I'll ask it none the less. I've setup my M0nowall on an old CompUSA 233mhz system with 3 network cards installed and running from the HD. What I want to do is partition my network just as a test and put a PC on the network thru the Portal via another hub. I can't get that PC to access the Internet or anything other then another PC attached to the same hub. The Portal does assign DHCP addresses. I'm sure it's just a firewall rule or similar to ad, but I just can't figure it out. Everything on the LAN NIC works great, the Portal NIC won't get out.
