I actually was just going to post this as I just discovered this myself. :)
Is this planned to be addressed in the next release?

Installed M0n0wall for the first time today and I think it's a great
program. The only issue I found strange is that the web gui does not allow
symbols as part of the password. What is the reason for this? Wouldn't it be
safer if one could use symbols?
