On the System:General setup are two text boxes for DNS IP's I have two internal DNS servers on the LAN. Currently I have m0n0wall setup with our ISP DNS IP's. I do not have m0n0wall setup as a dhcp server. This is done via our internal DHCP servers. All computers on the LAN use our internal DNS. Is there any reason why I would "NOT" want to use these internal DNS, versus putting our ISP's DNS IP's...for the m0n0wall general setup ?? In otherwords, what benefit am I getting by not using the internal DNS ?? The reason why I am asking is that in the state table, more than half of the 300 entries are the m0n0wall WAN going to the ISP DNS. I was wondering If I had incorrectly configured m0n0wall. I also noticed in the status.php page Oct 12 17:10:04 m0n0wall dnsmasq[110]: using nameserver 66.255.xx.11#53 Oct 12 17:10:04 m0n0wall dnsmasq[110]: using nameserver 66.255.xx.10#53 Oct 13 05:19:24 m0n0wall dnsmasq[110]: nameserver 66.255.xx.10 refused to do a recursive query Oct 13 05:19:24 m0n0wall dnsmasq[110]: nameserver 66.255.xx.10 refused to do a recursive query Otherwise everything appears to be working correctly.
