Unable to use Intel/Xircom PCMCIA ethernet

Hi,

     I am unable to load up the Intel/Xircom PCMCIA driver. The m0n0wall
console says that PCMCIA card inserted, however it does not load its driver.
I have checked the hardware list for freebsd and it is supported. Could it
be that I need to compile a custom kernel for this? Thanks
