Raylund & Jonathan, Thanks for the ideas. I have tried both of the changes and no change. If I ping my WAN IP I have no loss If I ping the ISP side of the link I have a 50% loss. I don't have this problem with the Westell DSL modem I changed the ngo mtu with exec.php ifconfig ng0 mtu 1454 and checked via status.php to make sure it took and it did. No change. The Fragmented packets made the issue worse as well. I really need to get this working if anyone can shed any light on the PPOE issue if that is what it is ? I am running 1.2 on a PC with CDROM / Floppy Here is my interfaces upon re-boot from status.php if this helps fxp0: flags=9843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,LINK0,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 options=40<POLLING> inet 192.168.225.254 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.225.255 ether 00:d0:b7:a6:b4:e8 media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX <full-duplex>) status: active rl0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 options=40<POLLING> ether 00:e0:7d:b3:bf:5b media: Ethernet autoselect (10baseT/UTP) status: active rl1: flags=8802<BROADCAST,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 options=40<POLLING> ether 00:e0:7d:b4:f5:e8 media: Ethernet autoselect (10baseT/UTP) status: no carrier lo0: flags=8049<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 16384 inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000 ng0: flags=88d1<UP,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING,NOARP,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1492 inet 66.208.151.145 --> 10.225.230.18 netmask 0xffffffff----- Original Message ----- From: "Raylund Lai" <raylund dot lai at kankanwoo dot com> Cc: <m0n0wall at lists dot m0n0 dot ch> Sent: Wednesday, December 14, 2005 10:33 PM Subject: Re: [m0n0wall] MonoWall PPOE connection very slow > Before you allow fragmented packets, check your ADSL MTU. m0n0wall > default to 1492.
