Glad to hear it is now working . . . . . . I now recall that I had cleared
up other issues with the current tunnels by doing a reboot . . . memory
recall seems to be the first thing to go when you get older . . . .

I got everything working with the advice of dasz.  I needed to reboot my
workstation- apparently the arp cache or something needed clearing.
