I don't seem to have this problem with m0n0wall v1.21 and XP Pro w/SP2. 

What version of m0n0wall are you running? 
What version of Windows? (SP? Updates?)
What are you connecting to? (m0n0wall/linux/*BSD/Microsoft PPTP)
