When you say "install", what do you exactly mean? are you actually 
trying a HD install or is that during boot of the standard m0n0wall 
image? Don't forget to put a floppy in the drive :)

If you are lucky, your floppy disk is hosed (you DID insert a floppy, 
correct?). Worst case scenario, your floppy drive is hosed, or even the 
floppy controller.
