Actually, checking their site I do see a mention of it, and a driver patch for Linux... Guess I'm a dope... -----Original Message----- From: Bill Church [mailto:bill dot church at bsius dot com] Sent: Friday, January 16, 2004 10:04 AM To: 'Christiaens Joachim'; 'Manuel Kasper' Cc: 'M0N0Wall firewall' Subject: RE: [m0n0wall] RE: Net4521 poor performance? Yeah, it seemed to me that the performance was a duplex mismatch. I mean, that's how it felt when I've had that before. I do have a problem with this though on a quality level. I know it's a SIS bug but it's a Soekris product so you would think there would be some mention about it on their site. (I know this is the m0n0wall list, etc...) Anyway, I do appreciate the response. I did try a 20'cable ( I guess that's about 6 meters ). I guess I'll make a 70' cable (ugh, the cable modem it 2 inches away). If that works than I'll at least know what I'm dealing with. However I'll probably have it out with Soekris on getting a replacement or a refund. Unless a Linux FW would work, but that's like going from a machine gun back to rocks and sticks. -Bill |
