Can't connect to m0n0wall :(

hi,
I can't connect to m0n0wall.
I only have one NIC (for testing only) a rtl8139. I assigned rl0 to LAN
with IP 192.168.17.5/24 and saved the config. But I can't ping the IP and
I can't connect via http://192.168.17.5
where is the problem?
the NIC is working at Win and Linux without probs and the same IP.
