Hi,

I have a small ( stupid ?) question, I about a simple thing of m0n0wall,
that I don?t understand:

Rules for LAN - Interface:

Adding this rule:

Proto * Source: LAN net Port * Destination: * Port *

does not allow any internet connections ( WAN ).


But if I add a rule:

Proto * Source: LAN net Port * Destination: !LAN net Port *

then internet access works..


My problem is, that I do not understand, why the first rule doesn't work.

Perhaps somebody can explain this to me?
