Time preserved on a Soekris box?

I just put the Soekris 4502 with Monowall 1.22 into production. Cool!

But I noticed when looking at logs that the time was wrong (1980.) I set the
time to be correct with the 'date' command via exec.php. But I am wondering
if this gets saved in the Soekris BIOS. Anyone know?

In Linux, I'm familiar with a --systohc switch which updates the hardware
clock. Is anything similar needed on the Soekris?
