Ooops... Well, if it is the autodetection, you can try assigning
interfaces and telling it em0 and em1 to see if that works. As to
linux, it won't help here. Try Chris's Live installer on a Freesbie.
That will tell you what FreeBSD sees them as, or if it sees them.
