While on the topic, I just tried a cheap Biostar P4M80-M4 Socket 478 Micro ATX Motherboard, and it would not boot. It is a VIA P4M800 / VT8237 chipset with a VIA VT6103 Lan port. I tried it because the price was attractive. http://www.directron.com/p4m80m4combo35.html I ended up with a Biostar M7VIG 400 Motherboard http://www.directron.com/m7vig4comb29.html with a VIA KM266 Pro / VT8235 chipset and the same Lan port which worked fine.
