 Subject:  Keeping 1.2x config for 1.3a3
 Date:  Fri, 13 Oct 2006 19:02:08 +0200

I'm using the generic pc-images 1.22 and 1.23b1 (CF-card) but I cannot
upgrade to 1.3a3 without loosing mit configuration files.

* TRY 1 *

- backup xml config (1.2x)
- write 1.3a3 image to card
- boot and restore config
- error messages on reboot: XML error pages cannot occur more then once

* 2nd try *

- booting von 1.2x image
- trying to upgrade to 1.3a3 (option firmware upgrade)
- failed: old version is still booting
- seems that there's not enough space for 1.3a3 (8 MB) on my 512 MB card :)

$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/md0c     11M   9.8M   798K    93%    /
/dev/ad0a    6.7M   5.4M   1.3M    81%    /cf
procfs       4.0K   4.0K     0B   100%    /proc

Is there any solution to upgrade *easily* to 1.3 without loosing the
whole config?
