I'm in need of a new switch and got 400? to spend, and since I guess here are 
some of the finest network specialists I'm able to get in contact with .. I 
would like to have some information on what to look out for..

Required Specs:
24 Ports
Managed Switch (especially VLAN) (Should be possible for that budget, right?)

Open Choice:
Either 24 x GBit or 24 x 100MBit + 2 x GBit Uplink

Are there, as there are with NICs, any advantages of using a 3COM Switch?
