1.3b1, CF, Generic PC, and DMA

Just curious, the issue with 1.3b1 not working well with DMA CF cards, will this affect the Generic
PC installs as well?  Talk so far has been with Soekris 4801's.  I am using SanDisk Ultra II cards
with Lex Systems CV860A boards.
