It's a FreeBSD 6.x problem on that hardware. If you can, I would
suggest installing FreeBSD 6.2 on the hard drive, reproducing the
issue, and reporting it to the appropriate FreeBSD list (I'd go with
freebsd-stable). It's not anything anyone here is capable of fixing.
