I would suggest something like this:

((AP))   ((AP))  ((AP))
    \ _____|______/
     | 10/100 switch|
     =============
              |
             \|/
     ______________
     | M0n0wall router|
     ==============
              |
             \|/
          WAN

If all authentication is done at the router, then just use dumb APs
and connect them through a switch. That way, all wlan traffic will
come in through only _one_ interface.

But inter-ap and inter-wlan-client traffic will still be possible, but
that is not important.
