Or am I wrong? regards Tom On 1/30/07, Andreas Ferrari <aferrari at stasoft dot ch> wrote: > Hi Tom > > try a BIOS upgrade of the Soekris-Box > > Tom Vergote schrieb: > > I believe I found it. > > using 9600 bps (the OS rate) the 1.21 generic image boots too, perhaps > > there is something wrong with the net48xx image? > > > > you need to set the soekris bios bps to the os bps, (slap myself on > > the forehead) > > > > On 1/29/07, Tom Vergote <tom dot vergote at gmail dot com> wrote: > > > >> Apparently when setting the baud rate of the device to 9600 instead of > >> 19200 the 1.11 image does boot, but instead of a "cant load kernel" > >> with the 1.21 version, it keeps rebooting? > >> so with baud rate=9600 > >> - 1.11 appears to work > >> - 1.21 doesn't give errors any more, but just keeps rebooting? > >> > >> WTF? > >> > >> On 1/29/07, Tom Vergote <tom dot vergote at gmail dot com> wrote: > >> > I've tried writing the image using physdiskwrite and ubuntu, both give > >> > the same error, I've tried different flash cards (2 sandisks and a > >> > canon which appears to be hitachi). > >> > The cards are written through an epson pcmcia adapter for CF > >> > > >> > On 1/29/07, Andreas Ferrari <aferrari at stasoft dot ch> wrote: > >> > > Hi Tom, > >> > > > >> > > How did you write the image? as described on the M0n0-Page? > >> > > Did you tried another FlashDisk? > >> > > > >> > > > >> > > Tom Vergote schrieb: > >> > > > Hi all, > >> > > > > >> > > > I'm trying to install M0n0 on a soekris net 4801, but I can't > >> get it to > >> > > > boot. > >> > > > I've written the net48xx-1.21.img to a CF card but it doesn't > >> boot (it > >> > > > looks very familiar to "cf card woes" in the archive, but i > >> couldn't > >> > > > find a solution in there. > >> > > > > >> > > > I've tried many things but all give me an error somewhere when > >> loading > >> > > > the kernel. > >> > > > - I've tried different images such as the latest beta and the > >> generic pc > >> > > > image > >> > > > - i've written them using physdiskdrive as well as ubuntu > >> > > > - I've tried different types of CF cards. > >> > > > > >> > > > I would be very grateful if anybody could help. > >> > > > > >> > > > below is the output hyperterminal. > >> > > > > >> > > > POST: 0123456789bcefghipajklnopq,,,tvwxy > >> > > > comBIOS ver. 1.28 20050529 Copyright (C) 2000-2005 Soekris > >> Engineering. > >> > > > > >> > > > net4801 > >> > > > > >> > > > 0128 Mbyte Memory CPU Geode 266 Mhz > >> > > > > >> > > > Pri Mas Hitachi XX.V.3.2.0.0 LBA 489-4-32 31 Mbyte > >> > > > > >> > > > Slot Vend Dev ClassRev Cmd Stat CL LT HT Base1 Base2 Int > >> > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------- > >> > > > 0:00:0 1078 0001 06000000 0107 0280 00 00 00 00000000 00000000 > >> > > > 0:06:0 100B 0020 02000000 0107 0290 00 3F 00 0000E101 A0000000 10 > >> > > > 0:07:0 100B 0020 02000000 0107 0290 00 3F 00 0000E201 A0001000 10 > >> > > > 0:08:0 100B 0020 02000000 0107 0290 00 3F 00 0000E301 A0002000 10 > >> > > > 0:18:2 100B 0502 01018001 0005 0280 00 00 00 00000000 00000000 > >> > > > 0:19:0 0E11 A0F8 0C031008 0117 0280 08 38 00 A0003000 00000000 11 > >> > > > > >> > > > 1 Seconds to automatic boot.
