From a legal perspective, the only thing you're required to maintain
is the copyright notice, list of conditions, and disclaimer as you see
here.

As to how to go about changing it, grab workon.sh from
http://chrisbuechler.com/m0n0wall/downloads/ and copy it to a FreeBSD
box and start poking around.
