They're probably talking about uPNP. m0n0wall doesn't support uPNP,
and to date there doesn't seem to be much developer interest in
supporting it. pfsense has added it as a package.

But it just automatically opens ports as they're needed - you can't
open the same port to two hosts simultaneously with it.
