m0n0image.php v0.1.0 (C)2004 michael iedema
<iedemam at pluto dot dsu dot edu>
usage: ./m0n0image.php [-x,-c] imagename.img
-x extract contents of image into DEVEL_imagename
-c compress DEVEL_imagename folder into a bootable image

First, m0n0image.php requires a FreeBSD 4.x system with the pseudo
device VN built into the kernel. It also requires php to be installed.

As the usage indicates, a -x flag will extract the image into a
DEVEL_imagename directory. The structure in this directory is as
follows.

/DEVEL_imagename
/DEVEL_imagename/boot
/DEVEL_imagename/conf
/DEVEL_imagename/fs
/DEVEL_imagename/kern

The root filesystem of the binary image is located in the fs
subdirectory. This is most likely where the bulk of your
experimentation will take place. You could also change the kernel in
the image by switching the kernel.gz in the kern directory with one of
your choosing.

Once you have made your changes:
-bash-2.05b$ cd..
-bash-2.05b$ ./m0n0image -c DEVEL_imagename

This will create a flashable image named DEVEL_imagename.img which you
will have to rename to exclude the DEVEL_ prefix or the firmware upgrade
facility will complain about the image name.

Hope that helps,
