http://username:pass@192.168.1.1 wouldn't work under php I, at least it
definetlyt is not working uder windows php. And as to what I see php does
not support http login like ASP, although there is FTP_LOGIN() function :(

Count me in.  I did a bacis script to grab status pages, and never went 
beyond it.
