I don't know about Marvel-Yucon compatibility with M0n0wall but 3Com nic 
should be fine. You should try to find out which nic causes the problem...
I remember Manuel Kasper told me M0n0wall especially likes Intel nics 
and since I bought two of them I have had no problem anymore...
