No, it never worked befote

How can I check the md5sums (i mean where the correct is ?)

Anyhow, the cd seems to work and the sript starts nd stops after a
while.

did m0n0wall run on that machine before ?
did you try another cdrom-drive ?
(you could try booting from the cd-burner)
did you check the md5sums ?
