Many thanks. Here what i can say. My pc is a normal pc running in itself windows XP with 2 eth cards (NIC Fast Ethernet PCI Familia RTL8139 de Realtek). I am trying to test the m0n0 on this pc and then mount it on a specific one just for this use. I burnt the cd on a LD read/write drive. It reads it and looks ok, but then it stops at the line I specified > Hi everybody, > > I just burned a cd with the iso image and booted the PC. It > starts, the > scripts comes out on the screen and then: > > AD0: read command time out tag=0 serv=0 resetting > > and then at the following line it stops: > > ATA0: resetting devices .. the sumcheck is ok on the .iso I downloaded into my hardisk. I have no clue how I van check it on the cd burnt since the software I use (filecheckMD5 fo windows) would right the result on the same flder... If progr stops in a part of the script I thing there might be something incopatible with the program (my NICs etc...). I have been testing other linux based programs on the same machine bridging the nics and worked correectly. Many thanks againa Gianluca -----Mensaje original----- De: Hilton Travis [mailto:Hilton at QuarkAV dot com] Enviado el: jueves, 19 de febrero de 2004 0:17 Para: m0n0wall at lists dot m0n0 dot ch Asunto: RE: [m0n0wall] Boot problems NOW VERY URGENT Hi, Would you care to actually give us some information to work with? We don't know the hardware in the machine, the NICs, if the CD-ROM ISO checksum (as shown on the website) was valid, what sort of CD media you are using (size, type), and where the CD-ROM is on the system. Are you saying that you are booting this on your Windows XP workstation? Or is this on a gateway running Windows XP now that you are looking to replace with m0n0wall? As you can see, we have nothing to work on, so how can we answer a question with no information provided? - HiltonT On Thu, 2004-02-19 at 08:58, gr at redskycom dot net wrote: > OF course, it has windows XP > > -----Mensaje original----- > De: Christiaens Joachim [mailto:jchristi at oce dot be] > Enviado el: miércoles, 18 de febrero de 2004 13:29 > Para: 'Gian Temp'; m0n0wall at lists dot m0n0 dot ch > Asunto: RE: [m0n0wall] Boot problems NOW VERY URGENT > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Gian Temp [mailto:gr at redskycom dot net] > > Sent: woensdag 18 februari 2004 9:43 > > To: m0n0wall at lists dot m0n0 dot ch > > Subject: Fw: [m0n0wall] Boot problems NOW VERY URGENT > > > > > > NO WAY TO MAKE IT WORKING!!!! > > thanks > > Gianluca > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Gian Temp" <gr at redskycom dot net> > > > > Hi everybody, > > > > I just burned a cd with the iso image and booted the PC.
