Hello everyone. I just posted an external Xymon script to monitor m0n0wall firewalls on the "Xymonton" monitors page here: http://xymonton.trantor.org/doku.php/monitors#available_monitors For those who do not know, Xymon (which used to be called Hobbit or Hobbitmon) is an open-source network systems monitoring tool with a simple web interface that is widely used. It may be found here: http://hobbitmon.sourceforge.net/ The xymon_m0n0CFG.rb script polls the main status page from one or more m0n0walls using wget and then pulls out the relevant fields (Version, Platform, Uptime, Last modification change date/time, and Notes) and reports them back to a Xymon server to be displayed. The script is configured to send a yellow alert if the m0n0wall has been up less than 24 hours, or if the configuration has been changed. Instructions on installing this script and the the latest version may be found here: http://www.revpol.com/xymon_m0n0CFG_script Hope this is useful to someone!
