Hey all, This might be old hat to most of you but I thought I would post it anyway. I just bought a DWL-520 PCI card and wi fails to load it. Here's a copy of the log: Mar 9 20:42:10 /kernel: device_probe_and_attach: wi0 attach returned 5 Mar 9 20:42:10 /kernel: wi0: mac read failed 5 Mar 9 20:42:10 /kernel: wi0: wi_cmd: busy bit won't clear. Mar 9 20:42:10 /kernel: wi0: wi_cmd: busy bit won't clear. Mar 9 20:42:10 /kernel: wi0: init failed Mar 9 20:42:10 /kernel: wi0: wi_cmd: busy bit won't clear. Mar 9 20:42:10 /kernel: wi0: wi_cmd: busy bit won't clear. Mar 9 20:42:10 /kernel: wi0: timeout in wi_cmd 0x0000; event status 0x0000 Mar 9 20:42:10 /kernel: wi0: <Intersil Prism2.5> mem 0xe6800000-0xe6800fff irq 10 at device 18.0 on pci0 As far as I can tell its the wi driver. Unfortunately, it looks like its time to move on from m0n0wall. I have tried a DWL-520, a DWL 650, and a Compaq WL100. All failed. The two DWL cards fail pretty much the same... This is a great software package. I just wish it would support more hardware. :( -Tony |
