You need to include more information.  Are you using a soekris box, a
generic pc, a wrap board?  Are you using the generic image or the cdrom
image or a board specific image?  What are the specs of the machine if
it is a generic PC?

I'm going to make a wild guess here and say that you don't have enough
RAM in the machine.  m0n0wall needs a minimum of 32M.  A generic PC
that steals some of the memory for video purposes would need to have
more than that.  For machines running from CF or hard drive, even more
memory is recommended for the upgrade process.
