James, If you are WinNT/Win2k+ shop have a look at Internet Authentication Services in Win2k (and I assume Win2k3) server. This provides RADIUS services on a MS Windows network which has either Domain (NT4) or Active Directory (Win2k+) user management. I haven't tried this specifically with m0n0wall but have had good experiences using it with other Unix services and Wireless APs. -----Original Message----- From: James [mailto:james at mobileconnect1 dot com] Sent: 31 March 2004 20:47 To: M0n0wall Subject: FW: [m0n0wall] looking for the right radius server to use on Red Hat 9 See, in the list of features for pptp vpn (with RADIUS server support) so my question still would remain as in to what radius server would be good to use with m0n0wall. I am going to be using m0n0wall on all of my routers for my company if things work out well in the prototype and this means I can contribute to the creator. So all this is good for everyone if I can get some help on this. I had to make a good case for support for extensions, and had to argue it wouldn't result in more people bugging Manuel for what he says is an unsupported feature - feeling a bit mother-hen'ish - sorry ;-) One of the concerns he had was people subverting the mono list for various side projects - which I guess you weren't if mono has used a radius server - didn't realize that. m/ > -----Original Message----- > From: James [mailto:james at mobileconnect1 dot com] > Sent: Wednesday, March 31, 2004 8:26 AM > To: m0n0wall at lists dot m0n0 dot ch > Subject: FW: [m0n0wall] looking for the right radius server to use on > Red Hat 9 > > > Well I wasn't looking for support, just a sugestion on what radius > would be ok for my application.
