I have the same problem that you described, two m0n0 connected for testing VPN IPSec
I have used your same configuration on both of them

What is wrong? 
Why I can't ping from 10.0.0.1 to 192.168.0.1?
And from an internal host to another host in second subnet, es. from 10.0.0.2 to 192.168.0.2?

Ps.
I can't find any Faq about connect m0n0 2 m0n0 with VPN IPSec,
Startig from a simple configuration (es. with static IP)
It exist?
