about the only thing you might want to change in the console is the port assignment (ie which port
is LAN, WAN etc)
default port assignement for a soekris 4501 with m0n0;

Don't worry about console access (everything can be done from the excellent WebGUI :)

Easiest method, Plug a cross over cable into the Ethernet port which is next to the console port,
set your Mac OS X machine use to DHCP, and access http://192.168.1.1, login as user: 'admin',
default password: 'mono', and it is all gravy from there
