It really looks like an IRQ issue - otherwise I wouldn't know how to
explain why both cards worked on a WRAP (which AFAIR doesn't share
any PCI IRQs), and why the PCI card (with the exact same chip I
presume) would work while the miniPCI version doesn't.

No typo - the vpn1411 really made it slower than software encryption
(but at least it worked).
