Watching this thread go by, I have been wondering - what if there was a back door? Of course, it needs to be disabled by default....and not a wide-open back door... I have interfaces at work that use various kinds of public key encryption. Would it be both possible and worth the effort to allow a developer to drop in some DSA public key, and he would then be able to do something (restart httpd? ?reboot?) The above is relevant to people who anticpate m0n0-pole (putting a m0n0wall on top of a flagpole or radio tower). Finding the bug, of course, is the preferred approach. Seth |
