I have a floppy formated with FAT on a windows machine. BUT, i do not have a
bootable floppy like the images you can download from bootdisk.com. Do I
need a bootable or a formated disk?

Thanks for your suggestions anyway. I will check this as soon as possible
(but, due to the fact that the machine that makes troubles is productive,
i'll have to wait for my next chance)

have you DOS formatted this floopy? this sounds to me like your disk isn't
formatted at all.
