Hi everybody,
have my brandnew Soekris net4801 machine, this one has BIOS 1.34 dated
20040312, 128 MB Ram, 266 Mhz CPU. Set it to "ConSpeed=9600" now I can
both see the BIOS from the machine and the m0n0wall boot-output.
I tried with different net48xx Images: the stable 1.0 and the 1.1b16,
tried both on different CF-cards (SanDisk 64 MB and a SanDisk 512 MB,
both "normal" not "ultra" versions).
No such luck, it boots okay, but "panics" after a while (the output
below is captured via Linux' minicom).
I did create the media on a (Debian) linux machine with SanDisk USB
CF-reader SDDR-31 "dd if=<image.img> of=/dev/sda bs=16k" also omitted
the bs, changed it to 8k, etc. every try results in the "panic" :-/
fdisk shows the following (that's the 512 MB card):
Disk /dev/sda: 16 heads, 62 sectors, 1009 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 992 * 512 bytes
8 partitions:
# start end size fstype [fsize bsize cpg]
a: 1 5 5 4.2BSD 1024 8192 26
c: 1 5 5 unused 0 0
Anyone have a clue what I might try to get m0n0wall to boot
successfully?
TIA and kind regards from Aachen (Germany)
Frederick
