thats the bit that mono doesn't let me do. and which gives me the
error message about not being able to route it.

In summary, I'm on 192.168.200.a with a default gateway of the m0n0A
of 192.168.200.252
The m0n0A has a vpn link to another m0n0B which has a lan side ip of
172.17.0.104, netmask 255.255.0.0, wan 80.17.14.X with gateways to
the 100 address.

I'm trying to add a gateway for 172.17.0.0, mask 255.255.0.0 to the
m0n0B 80.17.14X and get the message
/kernel: arpresolve: can't allocate llinfo for 80.176.14.Xrt
/kernel: arplookup 80.176.14.X failed: host is not on local network
