net45xx-1.1.img.gz: decompression OK, trailing garbage ignored
is showing up in all versions of the firmware 1.1 load
from whatever mirror I download from. It says the image is
ok, but I have not tried it yet.

Subject: [m0n0wall] 1.1 is out!
Finally, 6 months after the release of m0n0wall 1.0, the new and
improved version 1.1 is out. While there are some new and exciting
features (including captive portal support and 802.1Q VLAN), the
focus has clearly been on improving the quality of the existing
functions and fixing bugs, many of which were found not only in
m0n0wall code, but also in software from other projects that we use
in m0n0wall. A few shortcomings that are due to the underlying
operating system are left (especially the IPsec dead SA issue and NAT
bouncing), but these should be addressed soon.
Now that we have a (hopefully!) solid base, we can shift the focus
towards developing new features and extending the current ones again.
Once more, the emphasis is still on quality, efficiency, reliability
and user-friendliness than just mere "feature frenzy".
This release now has a digital signature that is recognized by 1.0 or
any of the 1.1bxx versions; for that reason, the latest version of
physdiskwrite, 0.5, should be used, as older versions do not know how
to handle the signature properly (error message).
I want to take this opportunity to thank everybody who participated
by submitting code, reporting bugs, writing documentation or
answering questions on the mailing list - your help is very much
appreciated! Also, I'd like to thank the numerous individuals and
companies that donated money, hardware and services - your support is
important to keep the project going.
Enough said, now go grab the latest release! :)
