Thanks for the answer but unfortunately during my earlier test I put the cf card adapter on the wrong pin and ... The box is dead so I can't use it anymore ! :( But it can be usefull for other people so I post it on the list Regards, Laurent Grilli -----Original Message----- From: josh grubman Sent: Friday, August 27, 2004 12:50 AM To: Grilli, Laurent Subject: RE: [m0n0wall] Nokia IP 110 with m0n0wall 1.0 Hi, I saw your recent post to the m0n0wall list regarding MAC problems with your Nokia IP 110. I have an IP 120 and with the exact same problem (see dmesg output below). I worked around it by extracting the m0n0wall image on another computer and adding <spoofmac> statements containg made-up ethernet addresses to config.xml for each interface. You should only ever need to do that once. If you configure VLANs or reassign interfaces, be careful not to botch your <spoofmac> configuration and lose connectivity to the firewall. I've been able to find very little information about this problem on the net, only that some Nokia hardware doesn't appear to be affected. I've personally seen it under FreeBSD and Linux on my IP 120. According to a buddy who had previously borrowed my IP 120 for a project, OpenBSD worked fine. I hope this is helpful. Feel free to share my response with the list. cheers, -josh fxp0: <Intel 82559ER Embedded 10/100 Ethernet> port 0x8000-0x803f mem 0x80100000-0x8011ffff,0x80000000-0x80000fff irq 11 at device 14.0 on pci0 fxp0: Ethernet address 4d:4d:00:00:00:00 inphy0: <i82555 10/100 media interface> on miibus0 inphy0: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, auto fxp1: <Intel 82559ER Embedded 10/100 Ethernet> port 0x8400-0x843f mem 0x80300000-0x8031ffff,0x80200000-0x80200fff irq 10 at device 15.0 on pci0 fxp1: Ethernet address 4d:4d:00:00:00:00 inphy1: <i82555 10/100 media interface> on miibus1 inphy1: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, auto fxp2: <Intel 82559ER Embedded 10/100 Ethernet> port 0x8800-0x883f mem 0x80500000-0x8051ffff,0x80400000-0x80400fff irq 5 at device 16.0 on pci0 fxp2: Ethernet address ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff The information contained in this transmission may contain privileged and confidential information.
